Who are the rabble rousers?
The Rabble Rousers are a group of labor advocates in AFSCME Local 696 dedicated to the freedom of all members to fairly participate in Union politics.
Founded in 2023 by Sharon Thorpe and J. Matthew Catron, the Rabble Rousers fight for four key values:
Transparency
Education
Modernization
Advocacy
We adhere to these values because we believe they will lead to a better future for Local 696, and to better futures for all Unions.
